Tires and Wheels:
Along with a wide range of new and good quality used tires, we offer repairs, patches, plugs, rim leak repairs, computerized wheel balancing for both steel and alloy rims, alignments and bearing servicing and replacement.

"Our up to date equipment won't scratch your mag rims. We can balance your wheels with regular clip-on weights or use double-sided taped weights to hide them so they’ll look their best."

Warranty Approved Oil & Filter Change:
We use  brand name oil and dealer brand filters that meet or exceed O.E.M. specifications. As part of our oil change service, we check all your fluid levels, belts, hoses and a quick look at under-car components. We use oil extracting technology for late model vehicles, specialty European cars and trucks that come equipped with an oil extracting tube. We have the equipment and experience to reset your oil change service or maintenance reminder light.

"While we have up to date, warranty-recognized manufacturers’ scheduling software to help us maintain your vehicle to their recommendations, we can also customize a maintenance program to fit your driving needs. Radiator Flush and Fill:
Your car's radiator must be flushed every two to five years depending on the type of coolant and distance driven. The transmission fluid, power steering fluid and brake fluid needs flushing around the same time. Ask our Service Advisor for a professional opinion.

"After flushing your cooling system some cars are very difficult to bleed the air out of the Radiator. Some Technicians spend hours trying to bleed the air out while some leave it partially bled, potentially causing engine damage. At Expert Mechanix, we've fabricated our own tool to evacuate air out of the system in just a few minutes."

Brakes & Antilock Brake Systems:
Brakes are one of the most important parts of your vehicle and should only be serviced by qualified technicians. We offer service packages from O.E.M.s to different makes of after market brake parts to suit your budget without jeopardizing your safety. We have the expertise and diagnostic equipment to pin point the problems in your computerized (ABS) brake systems.

Expert Insight:
We are a full service brake shop equipped with two different brake lathes for exacting service.  One brake lathe is for off car rotors machining, and the other one can machine rotors on the car to give 100% accuracy."

Exhaust Systems:
Unlike other exhaust shops, our Class A licensed technicians will install your exhaust. We use stainless steel and aluminized pipes with wrinkle free smooth bends to improve flow. We can also perform proper patch-ups when possible to save you money without jeopardizing the safety and the integrity of your vehicle.

"We can make an entire exhaust system from scratch to custom fit your vehicle, or we can install a replacement exhaust system made just for your application. We can design and make an exhaust system to improve your vehicle's sound and performance."

Electrical System:
Today’s typical automobile has more computers and electronics than the rockets of the Apollo 7 moon mission had. And yet, electrical and electronic systems are some of biggest weakness of most mechanics. We have seen one out of a thousand mechanics that knows electrical a fair bit. Expert Mechanix can trouble shoot your vehicle’s electrical system with confidence, since our Chief Mechanic switched his career from electrician to mechanic over thirty years ago. We have the experience to diagnose and in most cases repair the expensive electronic components of your vehicle without replacing them, which can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

"We get electrical jobs from new car dealers and other shops when they fail to find or fix the problem. In some cases they spend many days for the same thing that took us only few minutes or hours to find and repair."

Engine:
Overhauls, replacements, belts, hoses, oil seals and leaks, timing belts, water pumps, engine mounts, tune-ups, fuel injectors, electrical, diagnostics and more.

"At Expert Mechanix, we not only have the specifications for just about all makes and models, we also know the operating principals for all gasoline, diesel and hybrid vehicles. We can apply these universal mechanical principals in some cases to make necessary tools and timing marks to tune engines to peak performance -- even if the specifications are not yet released by manufacturer."

Transmission:
Shifting diagnosis, overhauls, replacements, transmission oil and filter change, seals and leaks, c.v. axles and boots, drive axle, differential and more. To eliminate unnecessary guesswork and mistakes that some shops can make, we have the latest diagnostic computers that can energize and switch components to bypass originally equipped computers to provide the most accurate diagnosis.

"Accurate determination of a problem is a key point in repairing transmissions. A slight mistake in diagnoses can result in thousands of dollars spent for nothing. For example, a speed sensor in your transmission can result in not being able to shift. It could be diagnosed and repaired for only a couple hundred dollars. Touched by the wrong technician, however, and it could call for a complete overhaul and could cost a couple of thousand dollars instead."

Suspension and Linkages:
We do ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, struts, steering and suspension.

"Some car manufacturers change parts slightly from year to year to monopolize and control the parts market.  At Expert Mechanix we have the thirty-year long experience to know what will fit in your car even if they change the part number, just to confuse the average technician. For example some car manufacturers combine ball joint with control arms and instead of selling you a $50.00 or $80.00 part, they sell the whole control arm assembly at three, four or even $500.00. We know which ball joint can still work in your car, and if the replacement part is available from the local part supplier, we will substitute it with lower cost without jeopardizing your safety and save you a bundle."

SRS (Safety Restraint System):
We can diagnose and repair SRS problems and reset your SRS trouble light, so you can have a peace of mind knowing you and your family is safe.

Expert Insight:
"If your airbag light is on, it is warning you that there is a problem with your SRS. Resolving this issue is crucial to avoid a safety hazard."

Shocks & Suspensions:
We offer a wide range of replacement shocks and struts to fit your unique driving needs. We can straighten frames that are out of alignment and replace suspension parts that meet or exceed manufacturer’s specifications, as well as wheel alignment to eliminate unnecessary tire wear and improve handling on the road.

"Most big franchises will recommend shock and springs at around 80,000 kilometers. We recommend replacement when it is actually needed. The 80k manufacturer recommendation is not good enough as different drivers have different driving habits, and conditions such as paved or dirt roads, turning corners slow or fast, slowing down for speed bumps or not and so on all play factors. These conditions can make a tremendous difference in the life of shocks, struts and springs. Bring your car in for our professional opinion." 

Auto Glass and Windshields:
At Expert Auto Mechanix, we are committed to the highest standard in automotive services. Therefore, we have have filtered and narrowed down the companies that do excellent glass work -- and they come to our facility to do that work under our supervision. You don't have to worry about the quality and, of course, the price is lower than most auto glass shops. We also honour insurance claims.

Expert Insight:
"Anything that we cannot guarantee 100% results for, we find those that can. Therefore, anything that we are not capable of, we are affiliated with someone who is. By letting us replacing your windshield, you will avoid a run around and end up with professional installers for a great price. In most cases, the cost of our windshield, including installation, is lower than the insurance deductible. Sometimes it may not be even worth it to make a claim. Get a price from us before making a decision."

Auto Body and Paint:
We have won the Etobicoke Guardian Reader's Choice Platinum Award for Best Auto Bodyshop in Etobicoke.  We are affiliated with other body shops as well. If there is some job that we're unable to tackle, we will let our affiliated body shop handle it. We have used their shop over and over for the past fifteen years and they deliver excellent results every time. There has never been a time where we have not been able to resolve an issue.

"We handle all your insurance claims and provide reasonable rates for those who pay themselves. We pay most reasonable deductibles and handle rust work, touch ups, small paint to full body and collision work.
